"We thought by getting a management company we could be helped with our rental properties. This company told us one thing For this fee $495 year, and $75 an month they would manage our properties. We had a tenant that didn't pay his rent on time and was evicted, but not by the management company we hired, we had to do it ourselves. This company is all about getting your money and they not performing the duties of a management company. We fired them for one of our properties over a year ago and just this past week we received an invoice on the property that haven't managed for a whole year.
They are really screwed up. They run their business on confusion, just about the time you figured out what they are doing they change their software again. You have to prove that they owe you money. Right now they owe us $1440 and they say they don't owe anything to us. We are currently filing a complaint with Department of Real Estate in Arizona, as is about 10 other clients of their. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, you can do it yourself."

"I leased my house to GoRenter and they put some tenants in it who got evicted. The house needed minor repair but anything over $400 I had to pay for out of pocket. I already pay a monthly management fee, a yearly sign up fee AND an advertising fee so they can put someone of ""reputable status"" in my house.
When these idiots got evicted GoRenter went in and took my house desk and my BOLT ON PATIO FURNITURE..this is furniture that needs to be assembled and disassembled to move. This was my furniture that was at my house from my pocket before the eviction. When GoRenter came in to remove the old tenants they ""mistakenly"" cleaned out my original furniture. When I asked how they plan to reimburse me they said ""oh well nothing is on your lease agreement saying you had furniture there"". I told the leasing agent 20 times I was leaving this there because its modular bolt on furniture..GoRenter trashed it without even contacting me saying ""people leave stuff there all the time and we didnt know it was yours""..So no reimbursement and I am pulling my house from GoRenter
NEVER EVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY..THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND PUT PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE THAT ROUTINELY GET EVICTED! This is by far the single worst property management company in arizona and they should never be allowed in business let alone out to prey on others. They are savages, animals and deserve to be locked up as such. The worst kind of user!

I am putting together list to contact a class action attorney, we only need 8 people. If you were a tenant this may have affected you. If you went to "legal" Greg charged you all these fees illegally, you had to pay them to stay in your home.

The Greg you speak of is one of the owners and is a dis-barred attorney. He took his dis-barring case to the Az Supreme Court and got his butt handed to him and thrown out. He is still illegally practicing law for Gorenter.com ALL THE TIME.
It is illegal for him to do their legal work. They charge the owners over $300. per eviction in legal fees and they only pay the attorney that goes to court $75. No one know this!! Greg Dawson - look him up- is charging a rip-off for "legal doc prep" his property managers prepare as part of their job. Owners see it on monthly statements as legal billing and wrongly believe an attorney or law office created it.

Go Renters jack up charges. They charge $35 dollars for a certified letter. They don't insure that new tenants aware that if you are one day late they charge late fees and that those fees could be more than 5% of the rental fees. All should read their authorization statement before you sign up for auto pay. If they charge for every little thing you will never now what they will be taking out of your account each month and will not be able to balance your checking account.

"I used Gorenter.com as a pretty manager in Phoenix. I was strapped for time and did not have time to do my research, which I greatly regret. Their sales team is very good and will sell you on theirservice by promising low mo nthly fees... Do not believe it, they lie beyond belief. I payed them the monthly rent for the first few months because of all the fees they do not tell you about. Once you sign up with them, they do not help out with anything and they are terrible at returning phone calls,.. I called the sales guy at his home, baby screaming in the background and all in order to have him call the realtor and make him call me.
I tried to talk to them multiple times each time, it took days for them to get back to me.. Until today... I cancelled with them two days ago and today I got a letter recognizing they were fired.. I anticipate a letter soon with them charging me fees..
They are by far the worst company to deal with, I am the owner.i spoke with the tenant and they begged me to fire them also, so I knew it wasn't just me..
I am almost certain that they only care about the hire and fire because that is where they make money.. The in between part is where they are terrible and should be arrested because they are a bunch of crooks..
Any questions please feel free to call me at (518)461-8143 and I will answer all questions, if anyone from Gorenter wants to refute this feel free to call, I will update this post if they even care about the bad press they get.
The only reason I gave them one star is because zero is not allowed....."

"Shame on me. I read all the negative reviews, but since my brother in law uses them I tried them out.
My only advice is read the contract! After many months of sitting empty, I decided to terminate my agreement. It only cost me ~$1300 to terminate, in addition to the monthly fee they charged while my house was vacant. But, the fees were in the contract so I paid up.
It was at this point that I started referring to the company as NoRenters, LLC.
In my defense, I honestly thought I would have no problems renting the place out, the agreement is written so that if the house rents, you might save some money vs a regular property management company. But, if like me it sits empty and your terminate early, you will be fleeced. But, all the fees are written into the contract so I cant argue.
I turned over the property to CPL Properties and it was rented within 2 weeks. BTW - CPL does not have a termination fee, that's right folks, its $0 to terminate the agreement at any time! This is probably true of alot of other rental companies so do your research!
Cons: They were not very good at getting the home rented and their fees are high!
Pros: errrr, they have an airtight contract? Is that a pro? I like to end with a positive so I will leave that here.
Anyway, take heed of the other reviews, like I should have and stay clear of NoRenters if you actually want to make money on an investment property."

Wow.. Not surprised to see that everyone else that has left a review left negative remarks. This management company is HORRIBLE. It's a fight to eat anything done with maintenance-and they will call you a liar if you let them know something that was supposed to be done, doesn't get completed. I have been waiting on maintenance to finish the same work order that was supposed to be done for a year. (This was supposed to be completed prior to move in.) please go elsewhere!!!!

I was a property owner with this company. It was far and away THE worst company ever. I had a 100% eviction rate due to tenants not paying. 9 total. That takes some serious skill to be this bad. I lost at least 100K using this company. Stay far, far away. Throw a dart at a phone book to find your property manager. You have a 100% chance of doing better than these guys....

"From their contracts that are 5 pages of legalese designed to screw the lessee, to their terrible and belittling customer service, I've never seen a company treat its customers as horribly as this one. Even property owners should beware unless they enjoy having their renters leave due to this horrible treatment.
In January of 2010 we tried to pay our rent using their online payment service. It looked like it went through, but I noticed that on the day it was due, it still hadn't hit our checking account. I called them up and they said they didn't receive it. The next day we hand delivered the check in full, but it was too late, they already said we would be charged their excessive late fee, and they said that they didn't care if it was poor customer service, it was in the contract. I payed it and went on with my life.
In February of 2011, I received a courtesy notice from the an overzealous photographer trying to make a buck saying my grill, which was cooling off before I put it away, couldn't sit in my driveway, and my weeds were too long. I contacted the HOA and they said the grill thing was an error and that they didn't care about the weeds so long as they were being taken care of, as they were being treated by myself. I wasn't in violation. The next day, I received a certified letter from GoRenter saying I was in violation of HOA rules, and that I had to pay them $35 to send me that letter. I called them up to let them know that there was no violation, but I was treated very rudely by the woman on the phone. She said that I had to pay their $35 fee even though there was no violation because it was in the contract. I checked my contract and while there is mention of a $35 fee for notification of violation, there was nothing about a courtest notice. They don't care. They want their $35.
I've never been treated so poorly by a company. If they cared even a little about their customers, they wouldn't try to nickel and dime them. A simple phone call or email was all that was needed if they had questions about the courtesy notice. They could also hire employees who understand that belittling customers is never the right thing to do, however, as you can see by their replies in these reports, it is standard operating procedures to belittle and attack customers.
Even the BBB rates them at a ""D"".
Owners and renters beware."

"I rented a property (with the option to purchase during 2nd year of my lease) through HomeAmerica/gorenter.com because I was in a bind with not enough credit to buy up front, but not enough time to build it up. These people offered me a rental property with option to buy later, with promises that my down payment would be held to use as down payment money toward purchase or closing costs (i'm talking in excess of $3000), and that half my rent would also go toward the purchase (unless I defaulted). The catch was, if I chose not to complete the purchase, I forfeited my down payment monies.
Several months down the road, after having a PERFECT rental record with Home America (and having suffered a few bumps such as them shutting off my water account with the City and I got charged to turn it back on even though I was the rightful resident!!), i started getting certified letter notices addressed to the homeowner, then large flyers posted on my door about ""Let us help you avoid the foreclosure!"" Home America denied any knowledge of foreclosure etc.
So for a couple of months, I questioned daily to find out what was up. They finally admitted they couldn't reach the homeowner but still had no evidence of foreclosure. When I confronted them saying ""well, I DO have evidence"" (I'd found it listed as a Notice of Trustee Sale on the County Recorder's site and they posted it on my front door!!), they were skeptical and rude like ""WHAT evidence?"" when I told them what I had, they were still short with me, and when I started asking for my deposit back, they said i wasn't entitled to it, but if I wanted to move into another home, they'd help me relocate... for another down payment of course! This became a war.
I stated that I did NOT default on the purchase, the OWNER did, so I was entitled to my money back, and I sure wasn't going to give them $3K more for another home. Then, they said ""Well we don't have the money. it was given to the owner."" Hmm interesting, their owner contract states that down payment monies are to be held by the Agent (Home America) in a TRUST ACCOUNT. I was later told that there was no trust account.
After a great deal of research, I found how much negative vibe there was about Mr. Bosworth, CEO, and how many of his family members were now involved with the gorenter office. Suddenly, the property manager who had been trying very hard to help me out... wasn't my contact anymore... but miraculously, a BOSWORTH was. She was not very helpful.
I then found out how many complaints were filed against the designated broker of Home America with the AZ Dept of Real Estate. I also found out that the owner of my home had MULTIPLE properties, all managed by Home America, going into foreclosure as well! Note, my checks were all PAYABLE TO and CASHED BY Home America, NOT the homeowner.... HMM.
It wasn't until I threatened legal action that ""miraculously"" they were able to come up with the money from somewhere to refund my down payment. I wonder how many of their other renters are going through this, obviously at least 10 others who they managed for the homeowner I rented from!! Additionally, my own ex husband rented from them as well and also is having trouble with the property having not been paid for appropriately.
I would not recommend anyone to this place."

"I actually was sued by Gorenter.com/Home America in Nov 07. They sent me a renewal letter after we gave 30 day notice, charge 2 months rent along with late fees, attorney fees, processing fees, lunch money(ok thats a joke). But you catch the drift. Because of this, they never refunded my deposit. So I go to court with all my needed documents, of course copies for them too. They were shocked! So they decided to drop the case, cool. So before leaving I ask the Gorenter Rep about my deposit and was told, oh don't worry, we will have that out to ASAP. Nothing came in the mail. So 2 weeks later I call and I'm told that my deposit was refunded to the homeowner since they no longer manage this home and I would need to contact him. I replied that I had not signed a lease with homeowner. I took them to court in Nov 2008 and sued for my deposit beck and the judge ruled in my favor. The Rep for Gorenter was whining and arguing and saying they were not the same company, which blew me away! He said they bought Gorenter.com/Home America and they are now Gorenter.com LLC; The judge was not too happy with Their Rep, Greg was his name. Even when walking out, he was arguing with me and telling me I would never see a penny. Well so far, he is right. I have not seen a red cent from them. And quiet honestly I'm sick and tired of even thinking about this. Gorenter.com, Property Masters, Home America, with or without Mark B.
The day will come where they have to answer for all their wrong doings! I'm ready to participate in legal action against these people once again.

"My problems with Home America/GoRenter started the day I signed the lease. I found a house in Anthem that I wanted to rent on HomeAmerica's web page. I contacted them, went thru the rental process. This was March of 2007. Ryan Vanotti of Home America was the person I was working with. I was told my deposit amount was 2K, plus $300 pet deposit. The next day (or so) they contacted me and said the 'owner' wanted another 1K because of my iffy credited. I went to their office, brought $3300 to rent a house and sign a year lease.
When I got there, I gave them the $3300. Ryan proceeded to tell me if I signed a 2 year lease option, its a 'win/win' situation. I told him I wasnt in any position to buy a house. I wanted to lease a house for a year. I had no money for down payments, and my credit was iffy and I knew I wouldnt get financed. He said that if I signed a 2 year lease option, half of the rent during the first year would go towards the purchase of the house. I asked him if I didnt buy the house, would I still get all my deposits back...and he told me YES. I told him I didnt want to be locked in a 2 year agreement. One year was the way I wanted to go. Again he said it was a win/win situation because if I wanted to get out of it after a year, I could move. I asked if I would get all my deposits back, and he said YES.
To be fair, I should first state that I did NOT read what I was signing. This is my fault completely. I should have known better. I believe what Ryan was telling me. I needed a place to live. My kids and I had already seen the house. They had already picked out their rooms. The location was perfect for us. I needed a place to live quick. I had been living with a friend for 12 days (I moved from my previous place on the first of the month and was looking for a new place to live) until I could find a place and needed to get into my own place.
My first problem was when I was in the house for less than 30 days. The dryer nearly caught on fire. My daughter told me she saw sparks coming out of the back of the dryer. I called HomeAmerica to come fix the dryer. I believe my property managers name at the time was Ron Williams. They told me that since I signed a 2 year lease option, I was responsible for ALL the repairs to the house! Since WHEN is a tenant responsible for repairs when they lease a house?? I contacted the owner and explained the situation to him. He repaired the dryer. He said if I have any problems with anything in the house to call him.
In March of 2008 I wanted to move and give my 30 day notice. A year had passed and I wanted to find a house that was cheaper and had a yard for my dogs. I attempted to give my 30 day notice and I was told I had to stay in the house because I was on a 2 year lease. I spoke to Ryan and I explained to him that he told me I could move after 1 year. He said he told me nothing of the sort and I am responsible for a 2 year lease. I stayed in the house d/t the fact that I was working alot of hours, and I didnt want to go thru the hassle of trying to get out of something based on his word alone. I dropped the whole thing. I also really dislike moving and I decided to stay put and move in March 2008 when I would FINALLY be rid of Home America/GoRenter for good. I couldnt wait to be done with these people!
In Sept 08 I lost my job. I received a severance for a few months.
I hadnt paid Dec 08 rent yet and I contacted Home America/GpRenter to work something out. I figured I was owed $3300 and I wanted to work it out with them that Dec 08 rent could be taken out of the money that they owed me, when my lease was up in March 08, which was just 4 months away.
I contacted them and was told my property manager was now Peter Lee. I left him a voice mail on a Monday and also emailed him. I received no response. I called them again the next day and left another VM for Mr. Lee and sent another email, and again no response. I called them the next day and spoke to Melanie the receptionist. I asked to speak with a manager since Mr. Peter Lee doesnt return phone calls or respond to emails. She transferred me to 'Greg's' voice mail. She said that Greg was the 'customer service manager'. I left him a message and explained the situation partly. He finally called me back the next week on a Wed or Thurs. This would have been Dec 10 or 11. I explained the entire situation to him from the moment I began dealing with Home America/Go Renter and what I would like to work out with them. I then said to him 'why would I put down $3300 to not get it back? I wasnt in any position to buy a house and I certainly wouldnt gamble away $3300 to POSSIBLY buy this house in a year. I was lied to by Ryan Vanotti and I feel he should be responsible for his actions'. I was also very upset at the fact that I knew an eviction was coming, and that Peter Lee wasnt returning my phone calls. Greg explained to me that he was calling me to find out the story, basically a fact finding phone call. I explained to him that I had alread contacted the Arizona Association of Realtors and I was planning on filing a complain with the Arizona Dept of Realtors. He said he would call me back and I never heard from him.
I called him Monday Dec 15 and left a message. He never called me back. I called him again yesterday, left a VM stating I was going to file a complaint with the State. Of course I never heard from him. I am not sure what the point of the 'fact finding' phone call was if he was never going to call me back.
I had emailed my complaint to the State last week. I got a response from Jay Montoya the investigator and he told me to fill out the form and mail it in along with my complaint. I decided that yesterday I was going to go down to the State office and hand my complaint in in person. I wanted to speak to Mr Montoya and have him read my complaint as well. He was at lunch so I came back an hour later. I met with Mr. Montoya. He read my complaint. I asked him if others had filed complaints against this company. I certainly didnt believe that I was the only person they LIED TO and was DISHONEST with. He told me that I am a little fish in a big pond in regards to complaints against Home America/Go Renter. He told me couldnt go into detail abou the complaints, and I understood. He said that he has been compiling information for 2 years against Home America/Go Renter. He explained the entire process to me. He asked me if I was willing to be a witness against them if the case went to Court. I let him know YES absolutely I would be willing to be a witness.
Do NOT NOT NOT deal with Home America/Go Renter.
I did some research and found out that Mark Bosworth is a crook. Google Mark Bosworth Camelback Title and go to the Arizona Corporation Commissions web page to read just how dishonest this man is.
NEVER under any circumstances EVER EVER EVER deal with Home America/Go Renter. You will soon realize the nightmare they are! "

"Gorenter managed a rental property for us in Peoria. The renter stayed 3 months but we were paid for only 2 full minthe and a partial 3rd month. After they defaulted and moved out we were told that they hadn't paid the security deposit. When we went to the house the appliances were missing (stove and refridgerator). Photos that the management company showed us showed the stove in the garage. We changed the locks on the house after we found out that the renter moved out and informed the management company but a week later they went in and rekeyed the new locks.
About three weeks later they removed the lock box from the house but when I was there a few days later I found a key hidden at the property. I think someone may have been waiting for us to replace the appliances. Subsequently I have found out that they have a large court judgement against them for among other things stealing appliances from rental properties. They also have at least 19 complaints with the Arizona Real Estate Board per articles from ""Phoenix Newtimes".
